HAMILTON POLICE FEMALE CHOIR
Unity Through Harmony
In 2001, the Hamilton Police Female Choir made history when they became the first and only all female police choir in Canada. The choir has grown to 25 members, comprised of sworn and civilian female personnel from throughout the service. The Choir is under the direction of accomplished musician Tania Vroenhoven and is accompanied by Megan Lehman.
The Choir members devote their time to performing at several engagements including the Hamilton Police Service Annual Awards Night and a host of other community and special events. They are committed to supporting women and families in need through a variety of fund-raising events and performances for groups in need, throughout the year. Of particular significance to the Choir is their annual involvement in the Provincial and National Police Memorials.
The Hamilton Police Female Choir is grateful to Hamilton Police Chief Brian Mullan, members of the Hamilton Police Service, their family and friends for the continuous generosity and support. The Hamilton Police Female Choir has been encouraged to accomplish their vision of creating ‘unity through harmony’.
