COLLISION REPORTING CENTRES (CRC)
Most motor vehicle collision reports will be taken at one of three CRC’s in Hamilton. The Communications Call Taker will ask about:
-
injuries,
-
type of vehicles involved,
-
whether anyone left the scene of the collision, etc.
If conditions allow, they will direct all involved parties to the CRC.
-
All parties must attend with their vehicles;
-
All parties should provide their driver’s licences, and insurance information to one another;
In partnership with Accident Support Services Ltd. (ASSL), three facilities have been set up for the following reasons:
- To facilitate an efficient way of reporting your automobile mishap to the Police.
- To eliminate lengthy, often dangerous waiting periods at the accident scene.
- To allow Hamilton Police to better allocate their resources to serve the public at no cost to the Police or tax payers.
- To provide you with friendly, prompt service
This service is at no cost to you! Participating insurance companies pay for our services.
