The Hamilton Police Service cannot provide police screening or reference checks to persons who are unable to attend our Records office in person. We must be able to physically compare photo identification to the person standing in front of us. Our existing Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening processes were not designed to be used by persons that do not reside in our city or are unable to attend in person.
Persons seeking police checks that reside outside Ontario or Canada, or are otherwise unable to attend our office, are advised to use an alternative process involving the submission of fingerprints directly to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RMCP) as detailed on their website.
