Today investigators from the Homicide Unit attended the Fenbrook Institution and arrested Juan Beattie (23 Yrs) of Hamilton and charged him with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.
Also charged with this Conspiracy to Commit Murder is Thomas Riordan (19yrs) of Hamilton, who was also charged with the 1st Degree Murder of Michael Walsh.
There is another co-conspirator involved in this matter that has yet to be arrested and charged.
During March of 2007 the charged persons conspired to arrange and take part in the murder of an individual as retaliation for a previous home invasion.
This overall investigation is very much active and further arrests are anticipated.

On Wednesday October the 11th 2006 shortly after 1:30A.M. Hamilton Police and Paramedics responded to a shooting at 324 Hwy #5 Apartment in Waterdown.
The victim of the shooting, Michael Walsh, 22 years, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation by Hamilton Police Major Crime Unit has led to numerous people being interviewed. Investigators are confident that it’s only a matter of time before all persons that had anything to do with this murder will be apprehended.
On October 11th, 2006 Denis Muscat-Tyler (18yrs) of Hamilton was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.
On October 30th, 2006 a 16 year old youth of Hamilton was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.
On April 18th, 2007 Thomas Riordan (18yrs) of Hamilton was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.
On April 24th, 2007 Shane Riordan (20 Yrs) of Hamilton and charged him with 1st Degree Murder.
On April 26th, 2007 an 18 year old youth of Hamilton was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.
Also charged as a result of this investigation was Jenyne WILLARD (18Yrs) of Hamilton. She was charged with:
-Possession of a Prohibited Weapon X 3
-Possession Under X 2
-Possession for the purposes of trafficking (codeine)
-Possession for the purposes of trafficking (clonazepam)
-Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
-Possession of a controlled substance (marihuana)
-Possession of a controlled substance (morphine)
-Proceeds of crime under $5,000.
On June 4th, 2007 an 18 year old male, who was a youth at the time of the offence, of Hamilton was arrested and charged with the Attempt murder of Travis Bailey on the 7th of May, 2006.
