Good Evening John and Marty,
What can I say, people are doing the 'double take" and the questions are flying…'What's with the police & horses' especially from the youth, of course. I emailed the staff, school and community HUB members to inform them about the Mounted Patrols presence in the Riverdale community, everyone was pleased. I have been encouraging the patrons in the community centre to engage in conversation with the officers even if it is to say hello. Some people have been addressing concerns as well, which is one of the objectives.
Both officers are extremely accommodating in showing the horses as well as speaking with the community members. This community engagement is exactly what the Riverdale neighborhood needs. I want to thank you both again for the support and I truly appreciate the time and energy in providing this service.
