Circumstances
Between the hours of 5:00 am and 5:30 am on Monday, November 16, 1998, Lynn and Fred Gilbank were alone in their Ancaster home sleeping. Unidentified person(s) entered their house and shot them both dead. Fred Gilbank worked for I.B.M. as a computer software specialist and Lynn Gilbank was a practicing criminal defence lawyer in the Burlington area.

The investigation into these murders, leads Investigators to believe that the motive leading to their murder is related to the occupation of Lynn Gilbank.

The Hamilton Police Services Board is now offering a reward of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, to be paid in Canadian funds, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these murders.

Any decision relating to the payment of the reward, or any portion thereof, shall be based solely upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police.
