Emergency Situations
What is an Emergency?
An emergency is any situation where people’s safety is at risk and they require immediate assistance. Examples include:
- a fire,
- a medical emergency,
- a motor vehicle collision where people are injured and/or trapped, and
- a person making threats with a weapon.
Also call 9-1-1 when:
- you witness a crime in progress.
