We regularly receive letters from the community wishing to thank Division Three officers for the assistance they have provided, or work they have done. Below are some of the highlights from letters we have received recently.

Officers Bogdan, Midgley, Patel and Yeates
Chief Mullan received a letter from the Co-founding Director and Executive for TOMA Foundation for Burned Children, wishing to thank A/Sgt Bogdan and P.C.'s Midgley, Patel and Yeates for the assistance they provided during the "Ride for Burned Kids", which was held on September 23, 2007.
“The assistance your Officers provided enhanced the Safety of the over 200 motorcycle enthusiasts participating in the ride as we traveled through the City to Canadian Warplane Heritage at the Hamilton International Airport.”
A/Sgt Jack Vanderpol
HPS received a letter from a Waterdown resident, wishing to thank Officer Vanderpol for going above and beyond by helping resolve a neighbourhood dispute.
“Officer Vanderpol has gone above and beyond what we have needed in this neighbourhood. He has been very attentive to the problems and he has increased the priority on calls to the Police for the area. We’re all very happy with his commitment.”

HPS received a letter from a couple who needed police assistance for a family matter, wishing to thank Officer Dave Boyd for his knowledge, empathy and kindness during this difficult situation.
“He demonstrated tremendous listening skills, knowledge, apathy, and kindness. Kudos, for all the training and education for your officers on dealing with domestic issues.”
