Project TAG - January 2006

Project TAG began in January, 2006 in response to an increase in the incidents of graffiti in the Concession Street business area. The concession street Community Policing Officer implemented this project to reduce graffiti incidents and their impact on the community. Community Resource Officers, Uniform Patrol, Plain Clothes Officers and the community worked together to resolve this issue. New graffiti was quickly eradicated, graffiti related school presentations were conducted and targeted enforcement on known offenders and problem areas was initiated. The project resulted in the quick removal of graffiti, suspects being identified and arrested and reduced occurrences of graffiti.
