Neighbourhood Safety Project (N.S.P.) – January 2006 to Present
The Neighbourhood Safety Project was started in Division 2 in 2004 as a Pilot Project and has since moved city wide with each Division adopting their own unique approach; specific to the communities they serve. The primary goal of N.S.P. is to more efficiently handle workload and increase communication between patrol officers, leading to more effective neighbourhood management and greater neighbourhood health. Other goals of N.S.P. are as follows:
