From clerical and technical jobs to positions in management, the Hamilton Police Service has many challenging civilian career opportunities, with top-notch salaries and benefit packages. We currently employ more than 360 civilian members – about 35 per cent of our workforce.
Most of our vacancies for civilian posts are part-time and full-time temporary positions. Part-time and temporary staff are paid a flat hourly rate, plus an additional 14 per cent in lieu of benefits and 4 per cent vacation pay.
We recruit for these positions two - three times per year. Should you wish to submit a cover letter and resume, clearly indicate which positions you are applying for. We will retain your material for one year from date of receipt.
